Directory at Heartwod House. The Take it Back! Directory is a handy source of information for residents looking to get rid of unwanted items. The directory connects Ottawa residents to local businesses and organizations that reuse, recycle, or safely dispose of the unwanted material.

June 21, 2009 - Peggy with the other judges and the contestants who performed at the Hazeldean Idol contest. There was a great audience turnout at the Hazeldean Mall to watch the performances of the contestants - it was enjoyed by all in attendance!

Friday, June 19, 2009 - Peggy shown with Councillor Peter Hume, Councillor Jan Harder, Councillor Gord Hunter and Councillor Doug Thompson celebrating the success of BATTERYCYCLE – a new battery recycling and education program supported by the City of Ottawa. BATTERYCYCLE worked with students at 60 schools this spring, who in May collected over 19,000 pounds of non-rechargeable batteries (an estimated 270,000 batteries) for recycling.

Friday, May 22, 2009 - A team of employees from Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co. cleaning up Hazeldean Woods during their Adopt a Park Initiative.Ê Hewlett-Packard previously adopted Bethune Park in Kanata North and more recently adopted Hazeldean Woods in Kanata South.Ê Their clean-up collection included Sun newspaper boxes, bicycles, carpeting and lots of broken bottles.Ê
