HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE GLEN CAIRN POOL REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
The final draft of the plan for the Glen Cairn Pool has been released. Now City of Ottawa staff want your comments and questions.
Three significant improvements are planned as part of the redevelopment.
The main pool basin will be replaced and the new pool will have a deep end with a diving board. There will also be a gradual entry ramp to improve accessibility.
A pavilion with change rooms and washrooms will mean that people do not have to leave the pool area to change.
Adding 27 more parking spaces will address parking shortages that currently exist during the swimming season.
There have already been consultations on earlier drafts of the plan for the redevelopment of the Glen Cairn pool. Staff have attempted to ensure the feedback they received is reflected in the most recent plan. This will be the final stage of the consultations so people who use the pool or who would like to do so should take a look to make sure the plan addresses their needs.
Details of what is proposed and a copy of the plan can be found on the city website. If you have trouble viewing the plan, please let me know and I will e-mail or mail you the information.
